Christopher Mascarenhas MD, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery. He has trained in all aspects of colon and rectal surgery. With a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, and robotic colorectal surgery . He routinely uses these techniques for a variety of different conditions.Dr. Mascarenhas has also completed advanced training in complex re-operative surgery for advanced inflammatory bowel disease, which includes ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. He has performed a high volume of surgeries on patients with IBD, many of whom require creation of a pouch following removal of the colon, rectum, or anus.
