Elliot Ian Grodstein, MD, performs transplant and hepatobiliary surgery for children and adults. A fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of the American Society of Transplant Surgery, Dr. Grodstein keeps a close eye to innovations in transplantation and surgery for the liver, bile ducts and gallbladder. During his fellowship at University of Wisconsin at Madison, Dr. Grodstein was involved in the early trials of normothermic machine preservation of the liver, a new way of preserving livers so more are available for transplant. Today, he is involved with many organizations, like the United Network for Organ Sharing, that advocate for improvements in transplant and liver care.
