Dr Hsu graduated from Rutgers School of Public Health with a Master of Public Health. She received her Medical Degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, New Jersey, where she was given the Rudolph C Camishion MD Award for Academic Excellence in Surgery. She also completed her Residency and Internship in General Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She obtained a Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery from St. Joseph Mercy Health System, Colon and Rectal Surgery program, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
