Dr. Thomas Cerabona is the director of bariatric surgery at Westchester Medical Center. He has been performing obesity surgery since. Dr. Cerabona has performed numerous bariatric surgeries, both of the open and laparoscopic variety, the first seven years doing mainly open gastric bypass and since 1997 converting to a laparoscopic approach. He trained under Dr. Ackerman, one of the country’s premier surgeons and founder of obesity surgery.
