Salvatore Parascandola, MD, is a general surgeon with UPMC Kunkel Surgical Associates. He received his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Penn State University, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He is certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Parascandola’s clinical interests include surgery of the thyroid gland, parathyroid gland, adrenal gland, complex hernia surgery, endoscopy, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He and his wife have three sons and live in Lewisberry with their rescue hounddog, Boone, and cat, Ike.
