With more than 35 years of surgical experience, Dr. Ahmed Rahman is a board-certified general surgeon. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kerala in Trivandrum, India, completed a residency in general surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wis. and had a fellowship teaching general surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va. Dr. Rahman began his tenure at Chesapeake Regional in 1983 as a consultant surgeon. He has served as both the Chief of Surgery and President of the Chesapeake Regional Medical Staff. He is also a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Chesapeake Medical Society and the Virginia Surgical Society.
